Reporting to the Sr Manager of Talent Acquisition, this is an onsite work opportunity at our Main St. location, in Lynchburg, VA.
As a Recruiter at BWXT, you will:
- Source and hire high-quality talent.
- Lead from the middle and serve as a trusted talent advisor and collaborate with hiring managers/local HR to understand assigned division’s workforce needs.
- Understand labor market and develops data-based market insights to sharpen sourcing strategies.
- Drive the selection process from requisition posting though candidate selection.
- Utilize a variety of sourcing tools to discover and communicate with candidates and build high quality candidate pools for assigned positions.
- May serve as a candidate career coach.
- Use influence to drive process change.
- Participate and contribute to a variety of meetings focused on the division’s hiring objectives, including but not limited to, plan of the week, local requisition reviews and division led hiring teams.
- Execute and share best sourcing practices with BWXT talent team and local leadership.
- Work with local HR team to ensure all staffing processes for the division are handled in a collaborative, compliant, highly effective, and cost-efficient manner.
- Partner with hiring managers and division leadership to develop sourcing strategies that are effective and cost efficient in the local market.
- Operate under minimal supervision with potential for significant latitude for independent action and decision making.
- Work within division and company established policies and procedures.
- Promote diversity and inclusive recruiting in all actions.
- Effectively manage requisition and candidate actions in BWXT’s ATS. Update ATS as required for consistent data accuracy and run local reports as scheduled and/or requested.
- Demonstrate creativity and innovation.
- Develop and work with local HR and hiring managers to implement action plans for filling critical positions.
- Strive for first time quality in all hiring activities and demonstrate a winning attitude by approaching challenges with confidence and optimism.
- Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction through effective working relationships with hiring managers, candidates, leaders, and peers.
- Complete sourcing trackers as requested/required.
- Assist in managing local advertising vendor relationships.
- Identify and participate in local/national job fairs.
Position Requirements:
- Ability to manage a heavy requisition load with competing and complex priorities.
- Previous experience supporting a manufacturing/industrial base is required.
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree plus (2) years of recruiting experience OR a high school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of (6) years of industrial/manufacturing recruiting experience. Bachelors in human resources and/or Business is preferred.
- Expert level proficiency with recruiting technology.
- Expert level proficiency in MS Office including Excel.
- High-level of tech savviness with 3rd party candidate databases, social media, and the ability to source passive talent.
- Ability and willingness to be part of cross-functional teams and collaborative efforts.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
- Must be able to demonstrate engaging and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to report to an assigned work location in Lynchburg, VA. This is not a remote or hybrid opportunity.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with lean methodologies and/or certification.
- Prior experience working for a third-party recruiting firm supporting manufacturing.
- Prior experience using SAP Success Factors recruiting module.
Pay: $62,000 - $97,000
The base salary range for this position in Virginia at the start of employment is expected to be between $62,000 and $97,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
