Job Summary:
A kima Infrastructure Services, LLC (AIS) , is actively seeking Engineering, Professional, Technical, and administrative support personnel as part of our staff augmentation team supporting the Department of Energy at the Y‑12 National Security Complex located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and the Pantex Plant located in Amarillo, Texas.
Successful candidates will be employees of AIS, a premier government contractor charged with employing highly motivated and well-qualified personnel who can advance Y-12's core mission to ensure a safe, secure, and reliable U.S. nuclear deterrent, which is essential to national security. Though employed by AIS, the employee will take day-to-day direction and assignments from Y-12 staff employed directly by the security complex. Pay, benefits, Human Resources, and Employment Management functions are provided by AIS.
Qualified applicants must be a US citizen, at least 18 years of age, and able to meet pre-employment requirements including any required physicals, drug screen, and/or background investigation to satisfy clearance requirements from the Department of Energy.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- This will be remote and part-time, 30 hours or less.
- Performs duties as a team member in the Environmental Compliance Department; providing specialty job knowledge and experience to support the development of compliance strategies and written reports.
- Provides team input to ensure strict compliance with permits, Department of Energy (DOE) Orders, and Federal and State regulations.
- Cross trains and conducts walk downs with other environmental professionals in the field and across the industrial areas to support final recommendations of a highly technical nature within a range of environmental science specialties.
- Employs significant professional experience, education, and specialized training across multiple environmental science disciplines to lead or support other subject matter experts and ensure monitoring, analysis, and recording of monitoring data by technical and sampling organizations meet data quality objectives.
- Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office software to support excellence in written and verbal stakeholder communications and reporting.
- Supports National Environmental Policy Act review of projects and actions to ensure compliance with Pantex Plant goals, DOE Orders and Policies, and state and federal regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years of experience.
- DOE Q or L clearance preferred.
- Pre-employment Drug Screen - external applicants selected for this position are required to successfully complete a post- offer, pre-employment drug test.
- Medical Exam(s) - Job related pre-placement medical examinations may be required for this position.
- This position requires you to be a US Citizen and may have the ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance, which includes a thorough local, state and federal background check and credit review. You also must be able to receive negative drug testing results.
- This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance from the Department of Energy. If determined as such, this position would be identified as a Workplace Substance Abuse (WSAP) testing designated position. WSAP positions require participation in an ongoing random drug testing program in addition to the pre-employment drug screen.
