Program Manager | Defense Programs - Direct hire
Nickerson Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead multiple U.S. Navy and/or Marine Corps programs through all phases of contract execution.
This role oversees program cost, schedule, technical delivery, and financial performance while partnering with customers and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage software development, systems integration, and engineering programs.
- Own program schedules, resource plans, execution baselines, and financial forecasts.
- Coordinate Engineering Change Proposals, contract modifications, and requirements changes.
- Manage risks, customer briefings, IPT meetings, milestone reviews, and CDRL deliverables.
- Support proposals, estimates, and transitions into new contract awards.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Secret security clearance and ability to maintain it.
- 6+ years of DoD program management experience.
- Experience managing software, systems integration, engineering, or technical programs.
- Experience with ECPs, contract modifications, or requirements management.
- Experience managing schedules and cost performance metrics.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
Preferred:
- PMP certification.
- Navy, Marine Corps, NAVWAR, NAVAIR, or MCSC program experience.
- Background in C2, tactical communications, or air and missile defense.
- Familiarity with EVM, Agile, DevSecOps, and multiple government contract types.
