What You'll Do
The System Administrator is responsible for the management of secure enterprise security systems that support enterprise mission needs. Apply and maintain Information Technology (IT) requirements that define baseline and target systems involving cybersecurity and privacy principles. Maintain critical infrastructure systems for continued operations for enterprise mission related systems. Skilled in managing, testing, and implementing current security requirements for operating systems, networks, cybersecurity analysis tools and related IT systems. Responsible for cybersecurity assessment/analysis and provides recommendations for Enterprise level systems and applications designs. Involved in a wide range of cybersecurity areas, including system architectures, firewalls, inspection and analysis tools, encryption components and networking architectures. Involved in security reporting and analysis to regulatory agencies.
Skill in:
- Conducting vulnerability scans and recognizing vulnerabilities in security systems.
- Implement countermeasures to identified security risks.
- Implement security controls based on cybersecurity principles and tenets.
- Install hardware and software solutions.
- Applying security system access controls.
- Apply the protection strategies (i.e., security controls) of information systems and networks.
- Evaluate the results of security implementations.
- Conduct audits and reviews of technical systems.
- Integrate and apply policies that meet system security objectives.
- Apply cybersecurity and privacy controls to enterprise systems (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation).
Knowledge and abilities:
- Maintain business, systems, and information systems to support enterprise mission needs;
- Optimize systems to meet enterprise performance requirements.
- Execute secure implementations of various systems to include servers, network components, virtual systems and operating systems.
- Apply cybersecurity and privacy requirements to enterprise systems (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation).
- Maintain critical infrastructure systems with information communication technology best practices.
- Set up a physical or logical sub-networks that separates an internal local area network (LAN) from other untrusted networks.
- Maintaining and incorporating information technologies into proposed solutions.
- Integrate new hardware and software solutions.
- Maintain security systems (including its resilience and dependability capabilities) and determine how changes in conditions, operations, or the environment will affect these systems.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline.
- Master's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline.
- Eight or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.
