Job Description
The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated Instrument Mechanic to join our Quality, Performance, & Improvement team in Niskayuna, NY. Do you have experience in electrical mechanical instrumentation?
As part of this role in laboratory and industrial environments, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Install, remove, service, troubleshoot, and calibrate all types of electronic devices, instruments, pressure gauges, etc.
- Construct, install, remove, dispose, repair, and modify equipment as necessary to support continued Laboratory operations
- Work with medium and low voltages
- Execute site services with precision, accuracy, and efficiency
- Assume responsibility for completion on non-routine assignments from supervisors, technical personnel, etc.
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, disciplined reporting, and a commitment to quality and safety
- Maintain necessary qualifications to perform required work

Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated experience or certification of electrical and mechanical instrumentation (e.g. Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Function Generator, Calibrator, Dead Weight Tester, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience in metrology and calibration
- Ability to work effectively alone and within a team environment

Pay Range
$37.64 hourly
Jobs categorized as subject to a collective bargaining agreement will adhere to the pay rates, wage increases, progression schedules, and other parameters identified and negotiated in said agreements.
