Role Description This full-time System Engineer role is an on-site position based at Schriever SFB in Colorado Springs, CO. The System Engineer will design, implement, and maintain complex systems supporting defense and space operations, ensuring reliability, security, and performance. Daily responsibilities include system configuration, integration, and administration, as well as monitoring system health and resolving technical issues. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software problems, providing technical support to end users and project teams, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to refine system requirements. The System Engineer will also assist with documentation, compliance with security standards, and continuous improvement of system architecture and processes.
Qualifications
- Strong Systems Engineering skills, including requirements analysis, system integration, and lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in Systems Design, with experience developing secure, scalable, and reliable architectures.
- Hands-on System Administration experience with operating systems, networks, and configuration management tools.
- Demonstrated Troubleshooting and Technical Support abilities for complex, mission-critical environments.
- Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain and maintain one, as required by contract and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of defense or aerospace systems, secure networking, and relevant industry standards is beneficial.
- Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-security, on-site setting.
- Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
- Self-motivated and comfortable with supporting multiple groups of developers, engineers, and testers
