Job Description
The RML Operations Unit is looking for its next Telemanipulator Mechanic.
The RML Operations Unit focuses on supporting the testing capabilities of the laboratory. The laboratory performs examinations of equipment for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. These examinations and test data support new technologies and the fleet. This dynamic environment involves all aspects of nuclear work. The RML Operations Unit is seeking individuals to support and extend our mission.
A successful Telemanipulator (TM) Mechanic will work closely with a Senior Specialist, who oversees the RML's Telemanipulator program. This individual will be responsible for installing and removing TMs, troubleshooting issues associated with TMs and performing routine maintenance to a strict preventative maintenance schedule.

- The candidate will be required to obtain and maintain radiological, safety, and industrial hygiene skills and qualifications necessary to execute radiological work per Technical Work Documents.
Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill
High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Associates degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Journeymans Papers in a related field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Qualification as a Naval Nuclear Propulsion Operator (or commercial nuclear equivalent) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

- Experience repairing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems or components

Pay Range
$86,100.00 - $134,600.00 annually
