What You'll Do
Supporting National Security & Intelligence Programs, intelligence analysts compose and/or oversee the review, revision, and production of finished intelligence reports which answer key analytic questions posed by stakeholders across a multitude of topical areas. Assessments are used to inform policy development, mitigate risk, or support critical national security decisions.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and produce intelligence products relating to emerging or disruptive technologies with the potential to impact United States (U.S.) national security.
- Research, analyze, and produce intelligence products characterizing nuclear-related materials, nuclear security, and/or nonproliferation.
- Research, analyze, and provide analytical and/or technical support to nuclear and/or non-nuclear systems for U.S. national security.
- Apply Intelligence Community Analytic Tradecraft Standards in the production of intelligence products.
- Collaborate across Pantex, other Department of Energy (DOE) laboratories, the Intelligence Community, and government stakeholders to develop, coordinate and publish analytic products.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Master's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline. No minimum years of relevant experience required.
- PhD in engineering/science/information technology discipline. No minimum years of relevant experience required.
- OR Applicants without a bachelor's degree may be considered based on a combination of at least 10 years of completed education and/or relevant experience.

Preferred Job Requirements
- Ability to obtain Q and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearances.
- Demonstrated record of effective written analytic communication to technical and non-technical audiences and readerships.
- Knowledge and experience in the U.S. intelligence and/or counterintelligence communities.
- Knowledge and experience in the principles, practices, and methodology in the collection, analysis, evaluation, interpretation and dissemination of intelligence information concerning national security.
- Knowledge and experience in requirements for properly handling, protecting, and controlling classified material; knowledge of classified material policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills, both oral and written, with internal and external team members, stakeholders, colleagues/peers, supervisors, and support staff.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Comfortable in the use and integration of Artificial Intelligence in supporting daily tasks, activities, and assigned duties.

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 709. Medical requirements may apply.
