Perimeter Security Partners (“PSP”) is looking for a dynamic Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Project Manager to support our ESS Maintenance and Service Business.The ESS Project Manager is responsible for direct communication with the point of contact for each project, assessing and prioritizing the schedule for field service technicians to complete periodic maintenance and service orders as well as mentoring and providing performance feedback to field technicians. This position will be a technical and administrative resource to deploy personnel and perform quality control checks of both written and field work completed by PSP and subcontracted field technicians. This role reports directly to the Director of Service and Maintenance while interacting with all levels of management in a collaborative work environment.
Duties
- Oversee and manage the work assignments for the maintenance, repair, testing and installation of access control, security system hardware, CCTV, network infrastructure, software, card readers, electronic locking hardware, linear power supplies and uninterrupted power supply (UPS) systems. Ensure proper configuration and compliance with design specifications.
- Collect and organize electronic documentation following each repair or preventative maintenance visit, including compiling receipts, reviewing completed checklists, obtaining client approval signature(s), composing technician reports, and other close-out documents.
- Constant informed communication, including internet meetings, e-mail and telephonic contact with vendors, subcontractors, technicians, and customers to include providing technical support to technicians and job sites.
- Maintain the ESS department’s tracking of the status of all awarded scheduled and unscheduled service requirements.
- Manage contract budgets and encumbrances. Assign contracts to invoices and ensure timely and accurate approvals. Work with all contract stakeholders to bring contracts from request to executed status including reviews, signature process, expiration dates and closing.
- Perform specific administrative support functions, prepare reports, disseminate information, develop subcontract documents, and other tasks as directed.
Requirements, Skills, And Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical electronic security systems, intrusion detection or network integration is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Service Management role is required.
- Proficiency in system programming, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks for yourself and others.
- Knowledge of relevant security standards and regulations.
- High Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Excel and Power Point.
- Must Possess effective customer service based written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test that will permit access to military installations are similar controlled areas.
- Highly Desired: Electrical certification/ Licensing
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit at a computer workstation for several hours at a time.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds to waist level.
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather for extended hours.
- Ability to travel by air or for up to 8 hours by car.
Additional Information
Duties are generally performed in PSP’s Brentwood, TN office.Periodic (<20%) travel within the United States is required to vendor locations, work sites, and off-site meeting locations in the United States with all related expenses paid for by the company.Perform telephonic dispatch duties for 24/7 emergency calls on a rotational basis.
