Position Overview
We are seeking an Estimator/Project Manager to support custom fabrication projects from the estimating phase through execution and delivery. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, production, purchasing, and quality while helping develop accurate project estimates and supporting project management activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong estimating background who is eager to expand their project management experience in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide support to an existing Project Manager while assisting with project estimating, planning, and execution activities.
- Develop material, labor, and welding estimates for custom fabrication projects and customer proposals.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs) to support project costing and manufacturing execution.
- Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, production, and quality teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Communicate project updates, track progress, and help resolve issues throughout the project lifecycle.

- Experience with estimating in a manufacturing, custom equipment fabrication, engineering, or project-based environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and manufacturing teams.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience managing projects in a manufacturing, fabrication, or engineered-to-order environment.
- Experience supporting government-regulated projects or quality programs such as NQA-1, ISO, DOE, DOD, or nuclear-related work.
- Formal Project Management experience.
