Who We Are And What We Do
The Tennessee Department of Correction operates and oversees 14 adult prisons across the state, housing some 21,000 offenders. In the community, TDOC supervises 79,000 offenders on probation, parole, or community corrections. The department operates 44 probation/parole offices in 13 districts across the state.
Job Overview
The Correctional Program Manager 2 provides operational and administrative support to the Office of Investigations and Conduct (OIC). This position is responsible for managing intelligence and information resources, coordinating operational planning efforts, and supporting investigative and special operations initiatives to enhance institutional safety, security, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, organize, and monitor operational planning efforts to ensure data-driven strategies align with departmental risk indicators, identified needs, and investigative priorities.
- Coordinate and facilitate special initiatives planning meetings, including scheduling and overseeing multi-resource collaborative operations.
- Collect, analyze, and disseminate information and intelligence from multiple sources related to safety, security, and investigative incidents.
- Manage and maintain performance metrics and operational results for OIC daily operations, investigations, and special initiatives.
- Assist with project development, data collection, analysis, and the preparation of statistical and operational reports.
- Handle, process, and distribute sensitive and confidential information in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Provide administrative and operational support for OIC special operations and investigative activities as needed.
- Participate in OIC committees, workgroups, and other collaborative initiatives to support departmental objectives.
- Support decision-making through the analysis of operational trends, intelligence products, and performance data.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience equivalent to 4 years of increasingly responsible full-time professional administrative or operations experience.
- Experience and familiarity with Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and an aptitude to learn applications as needed.
- Preferred education of graduating from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree.
