Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (AIS), is actively seeking Engineering, Professional, Technical, and administrative support personnel as part of our staff augmentation team supporting the Department of Energy at the Y-12 National Security Complex located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and the Pantex Plant located in Amarillo, Texas. Successful candidates will be employees of AIS, a premier government contractor charged with employing highly motivated and well-qualified personnel who can advance Y-12's core mission to ensure a safe, secure, and reliable U.S. nuclear deterrent, which is essential to national security. Though employed by AIS, the employee will take day-to-day direction and assignments from Y-12 staff employed directly by the security complex. This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Oak Ridge, TN Responsibilities * Developing, revising, and maintaining technical procedures and procedure-related forms in accordance with DOE orders, CNS/Y-12 standards, and applicable industry requirements.
- Serving as the primary Subject Matter Expert for procedure development and administration, providing guidance to project teams on procedure hierarchy, format requirements, and change control processes.
- Conducting procedure adequacy reviews and gap analyses to identify deficiencies or non-conformances with current regulatory and programmatic requirements.
- Collaborating with engineers, operations personnel, and safety professionals to translate complex technical requirements into clear, controlled step-by-step procedures.
- Coordinating the preparation and review of associated procedure support documents including forms, checklists, traveler packages, and verification and validation records. Qualifications * BS Degree in Engineering required.
- 15 years of relevant experience required, with a minimum of 10 years of specific DOE experience.
- Ability to obtain/maintain DOE Q Clearance.
- DOE Q Clearance preferred.

- Medical Exam(s) - Job related pre-placement medical examinations may be required for this position.
This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance from the Department of Energy.
