CSU Test Engineer
Location: Oak Ridge, TN (Y-12 National Security Complex)
Engagement: Long-term contract (5-year program with built-in annual salary increases)

This role supports a major Department of Energy program at the Y-12 National Security Complex, one of the nation’s most critical nuclear security sites. The team is responsible for ensuring systems transition safely from construction to operational readiness in a highly regulated environment.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or related field preferred)
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- Prior experience as a CSU Test Engineer or in commissioning/startup environments
- Strong knowledge of DOE processes and operational readiness requirements (DOE O 426.2A)
- Experience working within NQA-1 quality standards (nuclear/DOE environments)
- In-depth knowledge of NFPA-70E (electrical safety)
Key Responsibilities
- Support Commissioning & Startup (CSU) activities within a project management environment
- Develop and execute test plans to validate systems and equipment
- Coordinate testing efforts across engineering, construction, and operations teams
- Ensure proper documentation, validation, and system turnover to operations
- Maintain strict compliance with DOE standards and NQA-1 quality requirements
- Operate in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with flexibility for overtime (including day/night shifts)
