Your Opportunity:
TechSource is hiring a full-time Program Analyst to support the Enriched Uranium Modernization Program and its nuclear deterrence mission with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of Defense Programs’ Strategic Materials Production Modernization Program Office (NA-192). Working with a motivated, knowledgeable, and supportive team, you’ll collaborate with the federal program manager and, as a programmatic liaison, with program managers at the national security laboratories and nuclear weapon production facilities who are engaged in managing technical work to modernize our nuclear weapon stockpile. You’ll work a hybrid schedule with onsite work at Department of Energy’s (DOE) Forrestal building in Washington, DC 3 – 4 days per week and work remotely 1 – 2 days.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the program’s efforts in maintaining the inventory of the U.S. supply of Enriched Uranium and ensuring the success of the DOE/NNSA mission across the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE).
- Manage communication and coordination between relevant stakeholders, including with Management & Operating (M&O) contractors and industry partners.
- Organize, plan, schedule, implement, control, and report on all elements of the program office activities.
- Organize, plan, schedule, implement, control, and analyze M&O performance on various projects and programs and federally directed contracts.
- Assist in responding to requests for information from other NNSA and DOE offices, federal agencies, Congress, the Government Accountability Office, and the White House. Draft and edit briefing materials for NNSA and DOE leadership and conduct briefings.
- Lead 9212 Transition Strategy program activities to phase-out mission dependency on Building 9212 and eventually cease EU programmatic operations in Building 9212 altogether.
- Coordinate with the modernization lead and oversee the Building 9212 Calciner project activities and performance.
- Monitor progress of out-of-service system isolations, material disposition, and waste removal.
- Manage the Central Scrap Management Office activities and coordinate with other NNSA sites and laboratories on all EU shipments to/from Y-12 National Security Complex.
- Assist in managing the material storage workstream, coordinate across NA-192 material streams (e.g., EU, DU, Li) to track storage issues related to EUM storage budget.
Job Requirements:
- Active Q or Top Secret security clearance.
- Master’s degree in international relations, public policy, or related field.
- 3 or more years of federal government program analysis/project management experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Keen organizational, detail-orientation, and administrative skills.
- DOE/NNSA experience preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
