Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Responsibilities
The Material Planning & Control Specialist II (PULSE Maintenance) is matrixed from the Material Planning & Control Group and will report to the PULSE Maintenance Supervisor under the Forward Area Maintenance Department to provide Material Planning & Control Support to the PULSE Maintenance group, and projects as needed, at the Nevada National Security Site. The position will be responsible for stock orders from the PULSE Warehouse, PULSE Maintenance Department, and other low to mid-level orders for Direct Projects operating at PULSE.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer assigned requisitions by performing the following functions:
- Provide company requisitioning support - establish adequate lead time according to job or project priorities and material availability.
- Arrange transfer of internal materials to meet job or project schedules.
- Process credit card, catalog, and procurement requests in Oracle Fusion database to buy material.
- Coordinate material schedules with the requesting organizations for timely delivery to job or project. Expediting as needed.
- Coordinate with departments/organizations to ensure efficient movement or transport of materials through the transportation organization.
- Coordinate with the end users that material deliveries conformance to requested specifications.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure the receipt and accountability of all purchased materials.
- Update purchasing information in company software programs
- Coordinate material or property disposal activities through assistance with the property management organization.
- Oversees assigned Classification Codes, to include assisting with data entry and pulling reports.
- Participate in management assessments.
- Perform assigned tasks under supervision. Exercises independent judgment in performing assigned tasks consistent with the development of skills as determined by assigned supervisor.
Qualifications
Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.
- Bachelor’s degree in field or equivalent training and 2 years relevant experience in purchasing material control and planning.
- Prefer experience with preparing and processing purchase requisitions.
- Possess good organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, especially Access and Word.
- Experience with scheduling and setting priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to track data for reports and metrics.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate (oral and written) in a professional positive manner with all levels of employees, customers, vendors and management during very busy and frequent stressful situations.
- Ability to execute work, analyze information, problem solve, and enforce property control procedures.
- Ability to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with policies, procedures, government laws, rules, and regulations, or standards.
- The primary work location will be at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).
- Work schedule for this position will be 4/10s, Monday-Thursday (subject to change).
- Pre-placement physical examination, including a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy with random drug testing.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘Identity, Credential, and Access Management,’ and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors.’

Annual salary range for this position is:
$65,249.60 - $97,884.80.
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
