Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ridge, NY, for a Federal Project Director within the U.S. Department of Energy. The Federal Project Director will oversee federal energy projects, ensuring compliance with established goals, budgets, and schedules. Responsibilities include managing project teams, coordinating with stakeholders, developing and evaluating project plans, and ensuring safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The role will require leadership in decision-making, risk management, and performance monitoring to support the successful execution of complex initiatives.
Qualifications
- Project Management: Proficiency in overseeing large-scale projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Budgeting and Financial Management: Experience managing project budgets, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership, team-building, and decision-making abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Technical and Energy Expertise: Familiarity with energy systems, policies, and technologies, as well as compliance with federal energy regulations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Skilled in facilitating effective communication and collaboration among multiple stakeholders at various levels.
- Risk Analysis and Mitigation: Experience assessing project risks and implementing strategies to address potential issues.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Public Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Other Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
