What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary technical resource for planning and resolving complex radiological control demands across assigned facilities
- Provide radiological and operational health physics support in high-hazard environments
- Conduct workplace surveillance, interpret radiological data, and ensure compliance with 10CFR835
- Lead emergency response coordination and develop re-entry strategies with health physicists
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level technicians
- Supervise RCT teams during field assignments; provide technical direction and oversight
- Support facility design input, work permit reviews, and posting compliance at a senior level
What We're Looking For
Required:
- U.S. Citizenship (required for DOE Q Clearance eligibility)
- Ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance and meet DOE Order 426.2 requirements
- Extensive hands-on RCT experience, including demonstrated proficiency at or above the RCT 3 level
- Advanced knowledge of health physics principles, radiological monitoring, and emergency response
- Proven ability to mentor others and provide technical leadership in the field
Preferred:
- Experience at a DOE national laboratory or NNSA facility
- Military health physics background
- Experience as a lead or senior RCT with supervisory responsibilities
- Familiarity with DOE governmental regulations and Laboratory-specific guidelines
