Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Sr. Manager Benefits, Tax & Treasury Accounting to work on our Business Management team. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our EROB Idaho Falls facility with every other Friday off. This position requires strong accounting, tax knowledge, pension and 401K skills. Responsibilities Include: - Strong accounting, tax knowledge, Pension and 401K skills. - Strong accounting and leadership skills - Manage the activities of a department or a discipline through subordinate supervisors and/or professionals. - Provide guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies. - Responsible for the effective operation of activities of major significance to the organization. Decisions impact others in the immediate team and influences methods and techniques. - Execute financials, business planning, organizational priorities, and workforce planning. Ensure that budgets, schedules, and performance standards are realistically set and attained. - Typically manage employees who perform similar tasks. May manage supervisors, exempt, and non-exempt staff. - Receive objective based assignments and determine resources to meet schedules and goals. - Responsible for single function, location, and/or technical discipline. - Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures that affect department or multiple disciplines. - Participate in the development of overall objectives and long-term goals of the department and possibly the division. - Interact frequently with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group professionals, involving matters between sections and multiple units. - Partner with key contacts outside own area of expertise and other external stakeholders. - Communicate and present results and recommendations across discipline. - Third level of management with human resource responsibilities. Typically, all work is performed through the management of others. - Position typically reports to a direct report of a Director, Sr. Director, or Senior Leadership. - Other duties as assigned.
