At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are dedicated to providing a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area by protecting the Columbia River and remediating the Central Plateau. Our Soil & Groundwater Engineering and 200W Technical Support teams under our Engineering and Nuclear Safety organization are each seeking a Co-Op Engineering: Electrical Engineer.
Under direct supervision, the individual will perform job duties that may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support electrical risk assessments
- Drafting and updating reports based on direction from senior staff
- Assisting in generating and revising operating procedures
- Supporting the preparation of basic designs and calculations
- Assist with database completion in JCS.
- Learn, development and support Preventative Maintenance (PM) for inspection.
- Supporting the preparation of basic designs and calculations (to include arc flash).
- Attend Design Authority group meetings with the Electrical Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
- Coordinate with various groups or individuals, as well as research and gather information for calculations.
- Programs student will use are Job Control System (JCS), Document Management Control System (DMCS), SKM, Word, Excel, Microsoft Office.

Required Qualifications
- A U.S. citizen.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Actively enrolled in a full-time degree program
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) during their college enrollment.
- Currently enrolled with either Washington State University Tri-Cities (WSU-TC), Columbia Basin College (CBC), or any online student living local to the Tri-Cities, WA.
- Students will be sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate status and enrolled full-time, as determined by the institution.
- Willing and able to work 15-40 hours a week on a Monday - Thursday, 6 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. schedule.
- Actively enrolled in a full-time degree program that relates to CPCCo, with emphasis in specific disciplines that support the cleanup mission and aligns with the critical skills and job assignment requirements.

Compensation & Benefits
Starting rate is based on academic standing and field of degree, ranging from an hourly rate of $22.60 to $30.10 plus an additional $4.93 health & welfare adder in accordance with the Service Contract Act.

Additional Information
- Hiring Timeline: Interviews will take place after the postings closes.
- Substantial Footwear most positions and site tours may require substantial footwear. This includes shoes made of sturdy construction. Such as leather or equally firm material, that fully enclose the foot. They should have a semi-rigid, non-slip sole with a well-defined traction pattern. Athletic shoes are not considered substantial.
- Work Locations and Commute: Work locations vary, with commutes ranging from 20 to over 45 minutes from 2620 Fermi, Richland, WA.
