Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Responsibilities

We're seeking a Supply Chain Supervisor (Supervisor I) to ensure seamless inventory management, robust vendor relationships, and precise budget oversight, directly supporting our security and emergency services. Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end supply chain functions, including warehousing, procurement, inventory control, and material distribution, to support Security Emergency Services (SES) and Protective Force departments.
- Ensure strict adherence to government regulations for handling and protecting government assets, including property books, ammo inventory, and radio equipment for Protective Force operations.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local tax reporting obligations related to supply chain and property management.
- Coordinate the maintenance, inventory, and operational control of communication equipment, ensuring full functionality for the Protective Force.
- Track and report on deferred maintenance costs, contributing to accurate annual reporting and allocation of budget resources.
- Balance supply chain budgets, prepare financial statements, and manage expense allocations to ensure financial stability and accountability.
- Lead the procurement process for Protective Force and Physical Security Systems (PSS) departments, negotiating with vendors and establishing beneficial supplier relationships.
- Serve as the subcontract technical reviewer, assessing proposals, performance, and compliance of outsourced vendors for Security Emergency Services.
- Maintain precise inventory records, especially for ammunition and other critical assets, ensuring accurate reporting to the Federal Oversight Office.
- Oversee facility management activities, including tracking work orders and managing maintenance schedules to ensure a secure and efficient work environment.
- Manage payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for supply chain department employees.
- Track budgets for personnel, operational costs, and outsourced labor to maintain budget compliance and financial stability.
- Perform other duties assigned by Management.
Qualifications
- Bachelors' degree or equivalent training and experience, plus a minimum of 5 years of related and progressively responsible experience.
- Proven experience in end-to-end supply chain management, particularly in supporting security or protective force operations.
- Strong understanding of government regulations and compliance requirements for asset management and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, prepare financial statements, and allocate resources effectively.
- Experience in vendor negotiation, procurement processes, and subcontract technical review.
- Proficiency in inventory control and reporting, especially for critical assets like ammunition.
- Leadership experience with a focus on team supervision and fostering collaborative relationships.
- The primary work location will be at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).
- Work schedule will be 4/10s Monday through Thursday. Position will require the ability to work various shifts, based on mission requirements.
- Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
MSTS is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants offered employment with MSTS are also subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties of the position require a DOE security clearance. Substance abuse or illegal drug use, falsification of information, criminal activity, serious misconduct or other indicators of untrustworthiness can cause a clearance to be denied or terminated by DOE, resulting in the inability to perform the duties assigned and subsequent termination of employment. In addition, Applicants for employment must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship, at least 18 years of age. Reference DOE Order 472.2 , “Personnel Security”. If you hold more than one citizenship (i.e., of the U.S. and another country), your ability to obtain a security clearance may be impacted.
Department of Energy Q Clearance (position will be cleared to this level). Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR Part 707.4 , “Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites,” will be conducted. Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation, required to participate in subsequent reinvestigations, and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. Successful completion of a counterintelligence evaluation, which may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination, may also be required. Reference 10 CFR Part 709 , “Counterintelligence Evaluation Program.”

Annual salary range for this position is:
$78,249.60 - $125,195.20.
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
