The Materials & Fuels Complex (MFC) is seeking a Division Director (DD) to oversee the strategic direction, leadership and management of all Environmental, Safety, Health, and Radiological Controls activities across MFC. The DD is responsible for building multidisciplinary teams with shared goals, accountability and ownership for the INL/MFC mission at all levels in the organization. The DD leads an organization of approximately 175 matrixed staff, department managers, and supervisors across multiple disciplines. This position reports directly to the MFC Associate Laboratory Director (ALD). Responsibilities of the role are: - Lead continuous improvement in Safety Culture, Just Culture, and Human Performance Improvement Principles (HPI). - Maximize performance in achievement of Laboratory mission outcomes and milestone commitments while conducting work in compliance with DOE Orders, Federal, State, and local regulations, ESH&Q requirements, and company policies. - Execute the MFC Management Model and drive continuous improvement in operational activities. - Closely integrate with the INL ESH&Q directorate to ensure adequate staffing, process improvement and program implementation. - Develop strategic external and internal communication plans and effectively communicate expectations and objectives to department managers and staff. - Communicate regularly with Department of Energy-Idaho (DOE-ID), state and local regulators and other key stakeholders. - Establish operational objectives, policies, procedures, budgets, and work plans, and delegate assignments to subordinates.
