Production Systems Engineer - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Lynchburg, VA
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops operational strategies to meet production schedules.
- Publishes detailed inventory reports.
- Investigates new technologies and methods to improve inventory and SAP functions.
- Updates and maintains SAP inventory.
- Monitor and analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Prioritizes engineering/operations/quality assurance to prevent license to work issues.
- Interacts with cross department support groups to support all aspects of meeting project schedules.
- Collaborates with Project/Production Planners, Material, System Planners and Engineering to enhance production, quality and performance.
- Issues job orders to support project/area needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a Industrial Engineering or related field

Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills in order to conduct meetings as needed with peers, FLMs, engineers, and managers.

Must be highly self-motivated and directed. with attention to detail.

Must possess some manufacturing experience and understand how part work flow is critical to manufacturing.

Must demonstrate knowledge of SAP, Solumina. and Microsoft Office Suite (including Project, Outlook, Word, and Powerpoint).

Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.

Six Sigma certification or familiarity with other process improvement techniques.
