What You'll Do
- The Stockpile Programs, Director for Pantex Production Projects in the Program Integration Division represents project authority and accountability within Pantex and is the key interface among internal and external stakeholders. The Director provides program/project level management and control for planning, authorizing, and monitoring the accomplishments of work within approved technical scope, schedule, and funding constraints, in accordance with approved work authorization and project execution plan documents. The Director is responsible for logically and systematically evaluating program/project and process problems to determine appropriate solutions and to manage a multi-disciplinary portfolio of projects. The Director is responsible for directly coordinating and facilitating the activities of technical and administrative program/project personnel and effectively interfacing with internal and external customers, including representing Pantex in meetings and negotiations within project assignments.
- The Director's primary duty is the performance of office or non-manual work directly related to the management or general business operations of the Company, and such primary duty includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment denoted as follows: having the authority to formulate, affect, interpret, or implement management policies or operating practices; carrying out major assignments related to the operation of the Company’s business; work that affects business operations of the Company to a major degree, and having the authority to commit the Company in matters having significant financial impact.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree: Minimum 12 years of relevant experience. Minimum 3 years of supervisory/management experience.
- Applicants with a high school diploma or equivalent may be considered on an exceptional basis with 20 or more years of relevant experience
- Individuals must already possess an Active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-clearance
Preferred Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical, scientific, or business-related discipline, combined with at least 12-15 years of related experience or at least 5-10 years of related experience with a Master’s degree.
- At least 5 years of supervisory/management experience.
- This position requires demonstrated ability to effectively interface with internal functional organizations and external customers. This includes representing the Stockpile Programs organization in meetings and negotiations; demonstrated skill presenting technical information clearly and effectively through oral and written communications; and ability to perform duties with initiative, independent judgment and discretion.
- Responsible for all phases of planning and execution on medium-sized to large programs/projects of significant size and complexity. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls program/projects in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems and requirements. May be responsible for technical excellence on larger programs/projects. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls engineering projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements. The ability to provide program/project level direction and control for planning and monitoring the accomplishment of work within approved technical scope, schedule, and funding constraints; the ability to logically and systematically evaluate program/project and process problems to determine appropriate solutions; and the ability to direct, coordinate, and facilitate the activities of technical and administrative program personnel.
- The position requires a thorough knowledge of NNSA and Pantex processes, policies and procedures; knowledge of functional organization interactions, processes and systems; and knowledge of financial/budgeting processes and systems.
- Knowledge of Defense Programs Business Process System (DPBPS) and Product Realization Activities
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
