Job Description
NNL assesses the quality of technical work through the collection and analysis of quality data to look for trends and issues across the data streams to support continuous improvement. Surveillances and internal audits are part of this data collection and analysis process. This position will engage with data stream leads, and leaders at all levels and across all technical disciplines at NNL.
Duties for this role include but are not limited to the following:
- Monitor, coordinate, and perform internal technical audits through planning, execution, reporting and post-job actions.
- Monitor post-audit corrective actions and complete or assist with evaluations of effectiveness of those actions based on quality data streams
- Review and consider all quality data streams, quality assurance requirements, discussions with company management to support integration of those data streams with the audit program
- Recommend audits based on risk, including probability, impact, and ability to detect.
- Ensure audit coverage is broad and meets all requirements
- Periodically assess and report on audit program effectiveness and recommend improvements as needed
- Periodically recommend audit topics to NNL leadership based on above
- Review Engineering Problem Assessments and assess the quality of the EPA
Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 1 year of relevant experience; or Currently or previously EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or SRE qualified.

Pay Range
$68,800.00 - $105,300.00 annually

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
