Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Manager to direct the work of the laborers, custodians, and painters in our ATR Support Crafts department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Advanced Test Reactor (ATR) facility with every Friday off. Responsibilities: - Provide leadership and work direction to ensure safe and efficient execution of tasks in support of both nuclear and non-nuclear work activities. - Ensure that work activities are performed on structures, systems, and components for reactor plants, experimental loops, utilities, and support facilities. - Report to the ATR Programs Maintenance Manager for various responsibilities such as execution of assigned responsibilities, work schedule, quality of products and services, professional development, efficiency of custodians and laborers, continuous improvement, meeting performance indicators, providing a safe work environment, and promoting an ethical working environment. - Work independently with policy and procedural direction from management and perform duties under minimal guidance. - Review and approve the daily schedule. Allocate resources as required to successfully complete scheduled work activities. Take action required to mitigate all hazards associated with daily work. - Hold crafts accountable for their performance and take corrective actions to promote continuous improvement. - Authorize ‘Stop work’ if work cannot be completed safely and as required by company policies or procedures. - Take actions to correct or improve organizational performance in areas of responsibility. - Use in-depth knowledge and expertise in the application of DOE standards, company procedures, maintaining cleanliness requirements in nuclear/non-nuclear facilities, and cleanup/decontamination within a nuclear facility. - Specify special requirements such as completing the INL Foreman/Work Team Lead Initial Qualification Checklist, ATR Complex Foreman Qualification, required ES&H training, and obtaining a DOE “L” clearance within specified timeframes. - Act as first level of management to work group with human resource responsibilities (hire, discipline, termination, pay action, etc.). - Execute and implement approved policies, budgets, and procedures. - Administer company policies that directly affect subordinate employees. Apply advanced knowledge of the area to effectively manage daily operations. Troubleshoot and resolve problems. - Build productive relationships and knowledge of adjacent business areas impacting operational success. Interact daily with subordinates and/or functional peer groups. Convey straightforward information to audiences. - Interpret policy questions to make decisions based on objectives as well as company policies and procedures and proactively intervene to prevent or resolve problems. - Other duties as assigned.
