What You'll D
oResponsible for the implementation and management of the Microsoft Windows server infrastructure that supports the applications for production and business work at CNS. Will work with all levels of CNS employees to implement, maintain, and support the most efficient, cost-effective set of solutions for CNS in the underlying Windows server architecture. Will work in a team environment to coordinate, implement, and support changes to the environment using technical tools and processes to maintain consistency, availability, and stability in performance and function
.
• Keep pace with technical advancements within computing infrastructure and supporting software. Incorporate new technologies as appropriat
e.• Determines specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility and maintenanc
e.• Manage the MS Windows software configurations for the most efficient operation in a secure manner to meet DOE/NNSA & DISA STIG requirement
s.• When scheduled, provide non-prime time support of the Windows environment as require
d.• Manage enterprise computing environments, including applicable enterprise software and hardware configurations utilizing enterprise tools and best practice method
s.• Hardens servers for security purpose
s.• Troubleshoots complex server issues and works with other technical and functional personnel to complete problem resolutio
n.• Performs system updates, following an approved change control proces
s.• Develops and/or implements system monitoring tools and strategies for monitoring accountable systems and ensures optimum system availabilit
