Job Description
The Naval Nuclear Laboratory's Component & Chemistry Technology department is seeking a data engineer to advance digital transformation throughout the department. You will combine strong data skills with end user centricity to improve data quality, implement new data pipelines, and enable easy access to and analysis of the data. The solutions you develop will help subject matter experts across department increase efficiency and productivity, enforce high quality, make better decisions, and deliver better products to the Navy.
Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 6 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience; or PhD degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 1 year of relevant experience; or Currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part I qualified; or EDO qualified and 2 years EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or 3 years SRE qualified and Water Instructor and Refueling Facility Area Refueling Engineer and Fuel and Barrier Shift Supervisor (ECF only); or SRE qualified and 6 years of experience.

- Ability to create and deploy data engineering solutions without technical mentorship needed
- Proficiency in (or ability to quickly learn) SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Proficiency in Python or equivalent programming language for data manipulation and processing

Pay Range
$103,100.00 - $161,100.00 annually

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
